“Our only limitations are the walls we build ourselves.”

Today the eight of swords has come up as my card for the day. This brings to mind the question: “What is it that truly limits me?” 

Is it my view on the world, my view on myself, or the boundaries I’ve put up to protect myself? Today the eight of swords brings a reminder that sometimes we are the very thing that holds us back the most, and the things we want to keep out may end up being the very things that hold us in.

We can only ever grow as much as we allow ourselves to, and our world can only ever expand as much as we allow it to.  Perhaps this is a time to think about what we believe is possible, and how much of that change we are willing to let in and work with. 

What we think dictates what we do and ultimately what we become…perhaps today is the day to consider what we believe about the world we’re living in, our place in it, and the roles we are meant to play. Are we truly trusting ourselves to be our best and to grow into our full potential, or could the things we believe be the things that keep us small, confined, and in place?
